HAZARD FLASHERS  
FUEL SHUTOFF  
The hazard flasher switch is on  
the instrument panel.  
WARNING:If your vehicle has been  
involved in a crash, have the fuel system  
checked. Failure to follow this instruction  
could result in fire, personal injury or  
death.  
Use the hazard flashers if your vehicle is  
creating a safety hazard for other road  
users.  
Switching the Hazard Flashers On  
In the event of a moderate to severe  
collision, this vehicle includes a fuel pump  
shutoff feature that stops the flow of fuel  
to the engine. Not every impact will cause  
a shutoff.  
Should your vehicle shut off after a  
collision, you may restart your vehicle. For  
vehicles equipped with a key system:

Press the button to switch the  
hazard flashers on.  
Press the button again to switch  
the hazard flashers off.  
Note: All direction indicators flash.  
1. Switch off the ignition.  
2. Switch to start position.  
3. Switch off the ignition.  
Note: Prolonged use of the hazard flashers  
could cause the vehicle battery to run out  
of charge.  
Note: Depending on applicable laws in the  
country your vehicle was built for, if you  
heavily brake, the hazard flashers could turn  
on.  
4. Switch on the ignition to re-enable the  
fuel pump.  
For vehicles equipped with a push button  
start system:  
Hazard Flasher Indicator  
1. Press the START/STOP button to  
switch off the ignition.  
Flashes when you switch the  
hazard flashers on.  
2. Press the brake pedal and press the  
START/STOP button to switch on the  
ignition.  
3. Remove your foot from the brake pedal  
and press the START/STOP button  
to switch off the ignition.

4. You can either attempt to start the  
engine by pressing the brake pedal and  
the START/STOP button, or switch  
on the ignition only by pressing the  
START/STOP button without
