Opening the hood  
1. Pull the release lever to unlatch the  
hood. The hood should pop open  
slightly.

Support rod

1. Before closing the hood, check the  
following:

partment must be correctly  
installed.

僅 Gloves, rags or any other combusti

ble material must be removed from  
the engine compartment.  
2. Lower the hood until it is about 30 cm  
(12 inches) above the closed position  
and let it drop. Make sure that it locks  
into place.  
3. Check that the hood has engaged  
properly.  
僅 If the hood can be raise slightly, it is  
not properly engaged.  
僅 Open it again and close it with a lit

CAUTION  
Hood obstruction  
Before closing the hood, ensure that all  
obstructions are removed from the hood

opened and closed by hand from out  
side the vehicle.

Opening the fuel filler door  
To unlock fuel filler door:  
僅 Press the unlock button on your smart  
key  
僅 Press the Central Door unlock button  
on armrest trim of driver's door  
僅 Pull the driver's inside door handle

1. Turn the engine off.  
2. Ensure the driver's door is unlocked  
for unlocking fuel filler door.

5. To remove the fuel tank cap (2), turn it  
counterclockwise. You may hear a  
hissing noise as the pressure inside  
the tank equalizes.  
6. Place the cap on the fuel filler door.  
3. Press the rear center edge of fuel filler  
door.

closed, the fuel filler door will not be  
locked.  
CAUTION  
Before refueling, be sure to check what  
type of fuel is used for your vehicle.  
If you put diesel or ethanol fuel into a  
gasoline-powered vehicle, it may affect

vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice  
to melt.

When refueling on unlevel ground, the  
fuel gauge may not point to the F posi

tion. It is not a malfunction. If you move  
your vehicle to a level ground, the fuel  
gauge will move to the full position.  
Closing the fuel filler door  
To lock fuel filler door:

* All doors will automatically lock after  
the vehicle speed exceeds 15km/h.  
Fuel lid is also locked when vehicle  
speed exceeds 15km/h  
1. To install the fuel tank cap, turn it  
clockwise until it "Clicks".  
2. Close the fuel filler door by pressing  
rear center edge of the fuel filler door.  
Tighten the cap until it clicks one time,  
otherwise, the engine warning indicator  
light will illuminate.  
CAUTION  
Keep the door into LOCK position when  
the vehicle is being washed (i.e. high  
pressure washer, automatic car washer,  
etc.)  
NOTICE  
WARNING  
Press the vehicle's fuel door to LOCK  
Always tighten your fuel cap before you  
leave the fuel station. Failure to securely
