The steering wheel and the driver's seat will move  
back to the last drive position in the following  
cases:

If the easy entry and exit feature is active, the  
steering wheel will move upwards and the driver's  
seat will move back in the following situations:

ory function is used while driving

Vehicles with memory function: You save the  
seat settings via the memory function.  
If you use the memory function on the driver's  
side while driving, you could lose control of  
the vehicle as a result of the adjustments  
being made.

You switch oꢀ the vehicle when the driver's  
door is open.  
Vehicles with memory function: Press one of the  
memory function position buttons to stop the  
adjustment process.

You open the driver's door when the vehicle is  
switched oꢀ.

Only use the memory function on the  
driver's side when the vehicle is station-  
ary.

The steering wheel will then move upwards  
only if it is not already as high as it will go.  
The driver's seat will then move backwards  
only if it is not already at the rear of the seat  
adjustment range.

You can use the memory function when the vehi-  
cle is switched oꢀ.  
Seat adjustments for up to three people can be  
stored and called up using the memory function.  
When the memory function adjusts the seat,  
you and other vehicle occupants – particularly  
children – could become trapped.

DANGER Risk of exhaust gas poisoning  
Combustion engines emit poisonous exhaust  
gases such as carbon monoxide. Exhaust  
gases can enter the vehicle interior if the trunk  
lid is open when the vehicle is running, espe-  
cially if the vehicle is in motion.

WARNING Risk of injury due to objects  
being stowed incorrectly  
Vehicles with automatic front passenger airbag  
shutoꢀ: Objects trapped under the front  
passenger seat may interfere with the function of  
the automatic front passenger airbag shutoꢀ or  
damage the system. Please observe the notes on  
the function of the automatic front passenger air-  
bag shutoꢀ (/ page 44).  
If objects in the vehicle interior are stowed  
incorrectly, they can slide or be thrown around  
and hit vehicle occupants. In addition, cup  
holders, open storage spaces and mobile  
phone brackets cannot always retain all  
objects they contain.  
There is a risk of injury, particularly in the  
event of sudden braking or a sudden change  
in direction.

Always switch oꢀ the vehicle before  
opening the trunk lid.  
Never drive with the trunk lid open.
