Some tire pressure tables only show the rim diam-
eter instead of the complete tire size, e.g. RR1188.
The rim diameter is part of the tire size and can
be found on the tire side wall (/ page 324).
If the tire pressure is higher than the recom-
mended value, release air. To do so, press
down the metal pin in the valve, e.g. using the
tip of a pen. Then, check the tire pressure
again using the tire pressure gauge.
your vehicle has tires of a diꢃerent size than
the size indicated on the vehicle placard or
tire inꢂation pressure label, you should deter-
mine the proper tire inꢂation pressure for
those tires.)

Screw the valve cap onto the valve.
As an added safety feature, your vehicle has
been equipped with a tire pressure monitoring
system (TPMS) that illuminates a low tire pres-
sure telltale when one or more of your tires is
signiꢀcantly under-inꢂated. Accordingly, when
the low tire pressure telltale illuminates, you
should stop and check your tires as soon as
possible, and inꢂate them to the proper pres-
sure. Driving on a signiꢀcantly under-inꢂated
tire causes the tire to overheat and can lead
to tire failure. Under-inꢂation also reduces fuel
eꢁciency and tire tread life, and may aꢃect
the vehicle’s handling and stopping ability.
Please note that the TPMS is not a substitute
for proper tire maintenance, and it is the driv-
er’s responsibility to maintain correct tire
pressure, even if under-inꢂation has not
