Do not keep the starter motor engaged for
more than 10 seconds. If the engine does not
start immediately, turn the ignition switch to
“OFF” and wait 10 seconds before trying again.
Three-way catalyst equipped models (where
fitted) should not be started by pushing the
vehicle as the three-way catalyst may be dam-
aged.

5. Ensure that the ignition switch of the vehicle be-
ing jump-started is in the LOCK position.
