4. Restart the engine while holding the device
(which may have caused the interference) sepa-
rated from the registered NATS key or NATS Intel-
ligent Key (where fitted).
WARNING
The vehicle is unlocked using the key fob or in-
telligent key unlock button.
To help avoid risk of injury or death through unin-
tended operation of the vehicle and/or its sys-
tems, do not leave children, people who require
the assistance of others or pets unattended in
your vehicle. Additionally, the temperature inside
a closed vehicle on a warm day can quickly be-
come high enough to cause a significant risk of
injury or death to people and pets.
The ignition is placed in the ON position with a
registered NATS key.
If this procedure allows the engine to start,
NISSAN recommends placing the registered
NATS key or NATS Intelligent Key (where fitted)
on a separate key-ring to avoid interference from
other devices.
If the system does not operate as described
above, have it checked by your NISSAN dealer or
qualified workshop.
Interior Movement Sensors
(where fitted)
The interior movement sensors (volumetric sens-
ing) detect movements in the passenger's com-
partment. When the alarm system is set to the
armed position, it will automatically switch on the
interior movement sensors.
NISSAN ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (NATS)
(where fitted)
The NISSAN Anti-Theft System (NATS)* will not allow
the engine to start without the use of the regis-
tered NATS key.
* Immobilizer
NOTE
If the engine fails to start using the registered NATS
key,it may be due to interference from another NATS
key, an automated toll road device or an automated
payment device on the key ring. Restart the engine
using the following procedure:
When the windows are opened by a long press of
the remote key fob unlock button
and the
vehicle automatically re-locks, see “Auto-relock
(where fitted)” earlier in this section, the interior
movement sensors are disabled to avoid any nui-
sance alarm.
1. Leave the ignition in the ON position for approxi-
mately 5 seconds.
2. Place the ignition in the OFF or LOCK position
and wait approximately 5 seconds.
