DRIVE MODE (where fitted)
DRIVE MODE
Each of the modes changes the driving character-
istics of the car by altering the feeling given from
the steering, accelerator pedal and engine
response.
ECO drive mode
The <ECO> drive mode is recommended for maxi-
mum fuel economy. In the <ECO> drive mode, the
control state of the engine and transmission are ad-
justed to enhance fuel economy.
STANDARD drive mode
The <STANDARD> drive mode is recommended for
NOTE
normal driving. This is the default drive mode.
Many driving factors influence fuel economy.
Selecting the <ECO> drive mode does not nec-
essarily improve fuel economy.

From the <STANDARD> drive mode switch position
(default mode):
Press the switch UP to select <SPORT> mode

In the <ECO> drive mode, performance may be

Press the switch DOWN to select <ECO> mode

From the <ECO> drive mode switch position:
SPORT drive mode
Press the switch UP to select <SPORT> mode

The <SPORT> drive mode is recommended for an
enhanced performance feel. In sport mode, steer-
ing weight will increase, and engine control and ac-
celeration response will be enhanced. This will give
the vehicle a sportier feel.
Press the switch DOWN to select <STANDARD>
mode

NOTE
In the <SPORT> mode, fuel economy may be re-
duced.
From the <SPORT> drive mode switch position:

Right hand drive
Press the switch UP to select <STANDARD> mode

Press the switch DOWN to select <ECO> mode
The Drive mode switch is located behind the shift
lever on the centre console.

Three drive modes (<STANDARD>, <SPORT> and
<ECO>) can be selected depending on the driving
condition. If <SPORT> or <ECO> mode is currently
selected, a <SPORT> or <ECO> icon is displayed in
the vehicle information display.
