Do not attach metallic objects near the sensor area  
(brush guard, etc.). This could cause failure or mal-  
function.

The LDW system will operate when the vehicle is  
driven at the following speeds and above, and only  
when the lane markings are clearly visible on the  
road:  
Do not strike or damage the area around the radar  
sensors. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN  
dealer or qualified workshop if the area around the  
radar sensors is damaged due to a collision.

The LDW system provides a lane departure warning  
function when the vehicle is driven at speeds of ap-  
proximately 70 km/h (45 MPH) and above, and the  
lane markings are clear.  
Listed below are the system limitations for the  
Lane Departure Warning system. Failure to oper-  
ate the vehicle in accordance with these system  
limitations could result in serious injury or death.  
When the vehicle approaches either the left or the  
right side of the travelling lane, the steering wheel  
will vibrate, and the LDW indicator on the vehicle  
information display will blink to alert the driver.  
The system will not operate at speeds below  
approximately 60 km/h (37 MPH) (for Europe)  
or 70 km/h (45 MPH) (except for Europe), or if  
it cannot detect lane markers  
The warning function will stop when the vehicle re-  
turns inside of the lane markers.  
Excessive noise will interfere with the warning  
chime sound, and the chime may not be heard.

You can turn the LDW system on and off using the  
[Settings] menu in the vehicle information display.  
Do not use the LDW system under the follow-  
ing conditions as it may not function properly:

When driving on slippery roads, such as on  
ice or snow.

LDW MALFUNCTION  
When the LDW system malfunctions, it will be cancel  
automatically and the [System Fault] message will  
appear in theVehicle Information Display. If the [Sys-  
tem Fault] message appears in the Vehicle Informa-  
tion Display pull off the road in a safe location, turn  
off and restart the engine. If the [System Fault] mes-  
sage continues to appear in the Vehicle Information  
Display, have the LDW system checked by a NISSAN  
dealer or qualified workshop.  
The system may not function properly under  
the following conditions:  
When a sudden change in brightness oc-  
curs. (For example, when the vehicle enters  
or exits a tunnel or under a bridge.)  
On roads where there are multiple parallel  
lane markers; lane markers that are faded  
or not painted clearly; yellow painted lane  
markers; non-standard lane markers; or  
lane markers covered with water, dirt,  
snow, etc.  
LDW TEMPORARY DISABLED  
STATUS  
On roads where discontinued lane mark-  
ers are still detectable.  
MULTI-SENSING CAMERA UNIT  
MAINTENANCE  
If the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight under high  
temperature conditions (over approximately 40 °C  
(104 °F)) and then started, the LDW system may be  
deactivated automatically, the LDW indicator will  
flash and the [Not available High Cabin Tempera-  
ture] message will appear in the Vehicle Informa-  
tion Display.  
On roads where there are sharp curves.  
On roads where there are sharply contrast-  
ing objects, such as shadows, snow, water,  
wheel ruts, seams or lines remaining after  
road repairs. (The LDW system could detect  
these items as lane markers.)  
When the interior temperature is reduced, the LDW  
system will resume operating automatically and the  
LDW indicator will stop flashing.  
On roads where the travelling lane merges  
or separates.  
The LDW system is not designed to warn under the  
following conditions:  
When the vehicle's travelling direction  
does not align with the lane marker.

When you operate the lane change signal and

70 km/h (45 MPH) (except for Europe).  
When the headlights are not bright due to  
dirt on the lens or if the aiming is not ad-  
justed properly.  
Always keep the windscreen clean.  
Do not attach a sticker (including transparent  
material) or install an accessory near the cam-  
era unit.  
After the above conditions have finished and the  
necessary operating conditions are satisfied, the  
LDW system will resume.

INTELLIGENT LANE INTERVENTION (ILI) SYSTEM (where fitted)  
Do not place reflective materials, such as white  
paper or a mirror, on the instrument panel. The  
reflection of sunlight may adversely affect the  
camera unit's detection capability.  
TheIntelligent LaneInterventionsystem is pri-  
marily intended for use on well-developed  
motorways or highways. It may not detect the  
lane markers in certain road, weather, or driv-  
ing conditions.  
Do not strike or damage the areas around the  
camera unit. Do not touch the camera lens or  
remove the screw located on the camera unit. If  
the camera unit is damaged due to an accident,  
contact a NISSAN dealer or qualified workshop.  
The Intelligent Lane Intervention system must be  
turned on with the ILI switch every time the ignition  
switch is placed in the ON position.

steering wheel vibration. The system helps assist  
the driver to return the vehicle to the centre of the  
travelling lane by applying the brakes to the left or  
right wheels individually (for a short period of time).

The Intelligent Lane Intervention system may  
activate if you change lanes without first acti-  
vating your turn signal or, for example, if a  
construction zone directs traffic to cross an  
existing lane marker. If this occurs you may  
need to apply corrective steering to complete  
your lane change.  
Because the Intelligent Lane Intervention may  
not activate under the road, weather and lane  
marker conditions described in this section, it  
may not activate every time your vehicle be-  
gins to leave the travelling lane and you will  
need to apply corrective steering.  
The Intelligent Lane Intervention system will  
not operate at speeds below the following  
speeds, or if it cannot detect lane markers.

able System Malfunction] message appears in the  
vehicle information display pull off the road in a safe  
location, turn off and restart the engine. If the [Not  
Available System Malfunction] message continues  
to appear in the vehicle information display, have  
the Intelligent Lane Intervention system checked by  
a NISSAN dealer or qualified workshop.  
After the above conditions have finished and the  
necessary operating conditions are satisfied, the In-  
telligent Lane Intervention system application of  
the brakes will resume.

When the ESP system (except Traction Control  
System (TCS) function) or ABS operates.

ILI switch again to turn the Intelligent Lane Inter-  
vention system back on.

If the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight under high

CAUTION  
On manual transmission models, do not shift into  
N (Neutral) without depressing the clutch pedal  
when the cruise control is set. Should this occur,  
depress the clutch pedal and turn the cruise con-  
trol main switch off immediately. Failure to do so  
may cause engine damage.
