Starting and driving -> Stop/Start System for Your Nissan Juke SUV 2020

STOP/START SYSTEM
(where fitted)
The Stop/Start System is designed to prevent un-
necessary fuel consumption, exhaust emissions,
and noise during a journey:
The Stop/Start System has stopped the engine and
will automatically restart the engine. The Stop/Start
symbol is shown in the vehicle information display.
CAUTION
At the end of the journey the engine must be
stopped and ignition turned OFF. Lock the vehicle
as normal.Turning the ignition OFF will shut down
all electrical systems. Failure to do this may result
in a flat battery.
To activate the Stop/Start system:
NOTE
On manual transmission models, bring the ve-
hicle to a complete stop, remain at idle in N (Neu-
tral) and release the clutch pedal.
The Stop/Start System will not activate under the
following conditions:
When the engine is kept idling without any driv-
ing after the engine is turned on.
On automatic (DCT) transmission models, bring
the vehicle to a complete stop and either push
the footbrake or shift into N (Neutral) or P (Park).
NORMAL OPERATION

When the battery capacity is low.
If you have Automatic Brake Hold (where fitted)
turned ON, you can remove your foot from the
brake pedal once the automatic brake hold indi-
cator (green) illuminates, and the engine will not
restart automatically.
When the battery temperature is low or
extremely high.
When the vehicle is moved.
When the vacuum in the brake servo decreases.
To restart the engine when the Stop/Start system
is active:
When the engine bonnet is opened with the en-
gine running.
On manual transmission models, the engine will
restart as soon as you depress the clutch pedal
to shift into a (forward or reverse) gear.

Start System on, the engine will be in the normal
stopped state with the buzzer sounding. In this
case, restart the engine with the ignition switch.
When the engine is stopped by the Stop/Start Sys-
tem, heating, cooling and dehumidifying functions
will be deactivated. To avoid the air conditioning
functions from being deactivated, turn off the Stop/
Start System by pressing the Stop/Start System
OFF switch.
The [CO2 Saved] can be
reset in the [Settings]

ENVIRONMENTAL SAVINGS
The vehicle information display keeps a record of
the CO2 savings that can be viewed via the [Set-
tings] menu.
When the Stop/Start System is disengaged af-
ter the engine has been automatically stopped
by the Stop/Start System, the engine will imme-
diately restart if suitable conditions are present
as described under NORMAL OPERATION. The
engine will then be prevented from automati-
cally stopping during the same journey.
See “Vehicle information display” in the “2. Instru-
ments and controls” section for information about
the display.
Whenever the Stop/Start System is disengaged,
the system cannot prevent unnecessary fuel
consumption, exhaust emissions, or noise dur-
ing your journey.
