is required and access to the vehicle or the record-
ing unit is needed. This supplemental data will only
be accessed with the consent of the vehicle owner
or lessee or as otherwise required or permitted by

If downloaded, NISSAN and third parties entrusted
by NISSAN may use the data recorded for the pur-
pose of improving NISSAN’s vehicle safety perfor-
mance.
If your vehicle is fitted with the ProPILOT System, it
will also be fitted with supplemental data recording
function intended to assist in understanding how
the ProPILOT System performs in certain non-trivial
crash or near-crash scenarios. Specifically, supple-
mental recording is designed to capture the follow-
ing:
