cause poor reception and/or noise.  
When cleaning the inside of the rear side  
window, be careful not to scratch or  
damage the rear side window antenna.  
Lightly wipe along the antenna with a  
dampened soft cloth.

Keep the antenna wire at least 20 cm (8  
in) away from the Engine Control har-  
nesses. Do not route the antenna wire  
next to any harnesses.

ing your iPhone to the vehicle or operat-  
ing your connected iPhone for setup.  
Apple CarPlay operation  
Initializing Apple CarPlay:

When a new iPhone is connected to the  
USB connection port via a Lightning cable,  
Apple CarPlay will start immediately and  
the Apple CarPlay screen will be displayed  
automatically.  
When a connected iPhone is not recog-  
nized by the system, the system does not  
switch to Apple CarPlay.
