button on the Intelligent Key for about 3

The auto-reverse function enables the sunroof  
to automatically reverse when something is  
caught in the sunroof as it is closing. When the  
control unit detects an obstacle, the sunroof  
will open immediately.  
If the sunroof cannot be closed automatically  
when the auto reverse function activates due  
to a malfunction, push and hold the CLOSE

The sunroof operates when the ignition switch

AUTOMATIC SUNROOF (Type B)  
Auto-reverse function  
Depending on the environment or driving  
conditions, the auto-reverse function may  
activate if an impact or load similar to some-  
thing being caught in the sunroof occurs.  
WARNING:  
There are some small distances immediately  
before the closed position which cannot be  
detected. Make sure that all passengers have  
their hands, etc., inside the vehicle before  
closing the sunroof.  
Sunroof timer:  
The sunroof timer allows the sunroof switch to  
be operated for approximately 45 seconds  
even if the ignition switch is pushed to the  
“OFF” position. The sunroof timer will be can-  
celed when the front door is opened or the  
preset time has expired.  
If the control unit detects something caught in  
the sunroof when it is closing, the sunroof will  
be immediately opened.  
The auto reverse function can be activated  
when the sunroof is closed by automatic  
operation when the ignition switch is in the  
“ON” position.

If the sunroof does not operate properly, per-  
form the following procedure to initialize the  
sunroof operation system.  
The sunroof operates when the ignition switch  
is in the “ON” position.  
If the sunroof cannot be closed automatically  
when the auto reverse function activates due

CLOCK  
REAR DOOR ALERT (if equipped)  
If the battery cable is disconnected, the clock  
will reset its time and the display mode.  
The digital clock (in the center display or in the  
audio unit) displays the time when the ignition  
switch is in the “ON” position.  
The rear door alert system functions under  
certain conditions to indicate there may be an  
object or passenger in the rear seat(s). Check  
the seat(s) before exiting the vehicle. The rear  
door alert system is initially disabled. The driver  
can enable the system using the rear door alert  
switch. (See “Turning the rear door alert system  
ON/OFF” (P.2-59).)  
If sunroof does not operate  
If the sunroof does not operate properly, per-  
form the following procedure to initialize the  
sunroof operation system.
