AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM REFRIGER-
ANT AND LUBRICANT
The air conditioner system of your vehicle must
be charged with the refrigerant HFC-134a
(R134a) and the lubricant NISSAN A/C System
Oil Type S or equivalents.
CAUTION:
Use of any other refrigerants or lubricants
will cause severe damage, and you may need
to replace your vehicle’s entire air condi-
tioner system.
The release of refrigerants into the atmosphere
is prohibited in many countries and regions.
The refrigerant HFC-134a (R-134a) in your
vehicle will not harm the Earth’s ozone layer.
However, it may contribute in a small part to
the global warming effect. NISSAN recom-
mends that the refrigerant be appropriately
recovered and recycled. Contact
a NISSAN
dealer when servicing the air conditioner
system.

cause engine damage. Therefore, be sure that
the required fuel is available wherever you go.
For additional information regarding recom-
mended fuel, see earlier in this section.
When transferring the registration of your
vehicle to another country, state, province or
district, contact the appropriate authorities to
find out that the vehicle complies with the local
legal requirements. In some cases, a vehicle
cannot meet the legal requirements, and it may
be necessary to modify the vehicle to meet
local laws and regulations. In addition, there
may be possibilities that a vehicle cannot be
adapted in certain areas.

attached as shown.
STI0493
The laws and regulations for motor vehicle
emission control and safety standards vary
according to the country, state, province or
district; therefore, the vehicle specification may
differ.
When any vehicles are to be taken into
another country, state, province or district,
its modification, transportation, registration,
and any other expenses which may result,
are the responsibility of the user. NISSAN is
not responsible for any inconveniences that
may result.

LICENSE PLATE INSTALLATION (for INSTALLING FRONT LICENSE PLATE UNIFORM TIRE QUALITY GRADING
city type model)
(for Mexico)
(if equipped)
NISSAN recommends to install a single type
license plate*.
To install the front license plate bracket to your
vehicle, contact a NISSAN dealer.
Quality Grades: All passenger car tires must
conform to local safety requirements in addi-
tion to these grades.
Quality grades can be found where applicable
on the tire sidewall between tread shoulder
and maximum section width. For example:
*: approx. 520 mm (20.47 in) (width) × approx.
120 mm (4.72 in) (height)
To use another type of plate, contact a NISSAN
dealer for assistance.
Treadwear 200 Traction AA Temperature A
TREADWEAR
The treadwear grade is a comparative rating
based on the wear rate of the tire when tested
under controlled conditions on
a specified
government test course. For example, a tire
graded 150 would wear one and one-half (1 1/2)
times as well on the government course as a
tire graded 100. The relative performance of
tires depends upon the actual conditions of
their use, however, and may depart signifi-
cantly from the norm due to variations in
driving habits, service practices and differences
in road characteristics and climate.
TRACTION AA, A, B AND C
The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are
AA, A, B, and C. Those grades represent the
tire’s ability to stop on wet pavement as
measured under controlled conditions on spe-
cified government test surfaces of asphalt and
concrete.
A tire marked C may have poor
traction performance.
WARNING:
The traction grade assigned to this tire is
based on straight-ahead braking traction
tests, and does not include acceleration,
cornering, hydroplaning, or peak traction
characteristics.
Technical information 9-13
RADIO APPROVAL NUMBER AND
INFORMATION
INSTALLATION OF AN RF-TRANSMITTER
For countries conforming to UN regulation
No.10 or equivalent:
TEMPERATURE A, B AND C
FOR THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The temperature grades are A (the highest), B,
and C, representing the tire’s resistance to the
generation of heat and its ability to dissipate
heat when tested under controlled conditions
on a specified indoor laboratory test wheel.
Sustained high temperature can cause the
material of the tire to degenerate and reduce
tire life, and excessive temperature can lead to
sudden tire failure. The grade C corresponds to
a level of performance which all passenger car
tires must meet under the local regulations.
NISSAN Anti-Theft System (NATS) immobilizer
The installation of an RF transmitter in your
vehicle could affect electric equipment sys-
tems. Be sure to check with your NISSAN dealer
for precautionary measures or special instruc-
tions regarding installation. Upon request, your
NISSAN dealer will provide the detailed infor-
mation (frequency band, power, antenna posi-
tion, installation guide, etc.) regarding
installation.
Grades
B and A represent higher levels of
performance on the laboratory test wheel than
the minimum required by law.

The temperature grade for this tire is estab-
lished for a tire that is properly inflated and
