Press one of the buttons on the key.  
Unlock the door within 1 minute with the key via  
the locking cylinder » page 27.  
Protect the key from moisture and strong vibra-  
tions.  
Keep the grooves in the key bit clean.  
If necessary, the key must be synchronized if one  
of the buttons on the key has been repeatedly press-  
ed outside of the effective range of the remote con-  
trol.  
The effective range of the key signal is approxi-  
mately 30 m. The effective area can be reduced, e.g.  
due to signal interference from other transmitters.  
Take out the key bit

The new battery must meet the specifications of the  
original battery.  
Remove the key bit B .

Fold out the key bit.  
Loosen the battery

Take out the battery.  
Operation  
Press any key on the  
radio key, and the key  
resets.  
Retrieve saved position  
Unlock the vehicle and open the driver's door.  
The driver's seat and the exterior mirrors occupy the  
position assigned in the memory to the key used to  
unlock the vehicle.  
Insert the new battery.  
Fit the battery cover  
and press until it clicks  
into place.  
Stop position change  
Press any button on the seat to be adjusted.  
Or:  
Key with removable key bit  
Press the button on the key.  
Remove the key bit  
and partially insert it  
into the opening.  
Press the key bit to un-  
lock the top cover.  
Settings  
Activate and deactivate the memory function of  
the key  
The function is activated or deactivated in the fol-  
lowing menu in the Infotainment system.  
Or:  
Slide on the battery  
cover.  
Storing driver's seat and exterior mirror position  
for driving forwards  
The data is saved automatically each time the vehicle  
is locked.  
The seat position can be stored if the angle of in-  
clination of the seat back relative to the seat surface  
is less than approximately 110° and the seat is not in  
any of the end positions.  
Use a thin screwdriver  
in the recess A insert  
and remove the bat-  
tery.  
Press any key on the  
radio key, and the key  
resets.  
Storing front passenger´s exterior mirror position  
for reversing  
Unlock the vehicle with the key.  
Turn on the ignition.  
Activate the folding function of the mirror in the  
Infotainment in the following menu.  
Insert the new battery.  
Fit the battery cover  
and press until it clicks  
Or:  
into place.  
Put the knob for the exterior mirrors in position  
Engage reverse gear.  
Adjust the mirror to the desired position.  
Disengage reverse gear.

Memory function of the key  
Functionality  
The set mirror position is saved.  
Applies to vehicles that do not have the personalisa-  
tion function.  
Each time the vehicle is locked, the position of the  
driver's seat and rearview mirror are stored in the  
memory of the remote key being used to lock the  
vehicle.
