Comply with the specified direction of travel, oth-
erwise the driving characteristics may be impaired.
The direction of rotation of the tyres is marked by
arrows on the wall of the tyre.

WARNING
additional information
Do not exceed the maximum permissible load and
Only use approved radial tyres of the same type, size
(rolling circumference) and the same tread pattern
on one axle.
speed for the mounted tires.
Tire wear indicator
Approved tyre sizes are specified in the technical ve-
hicle documentation and in the declaration of con-
formity (in the so-called COCDocument).
There are wear indica-
tors in the profile base of
the tires, which indicate
the permissible minimum
profile depth.
The declaration of conformity can be obtained from
a ŠKODA partner (applies to some countries and
some model variants).
Markings on the tire
flanks using the letters
TWI or other symbols,
e.g. , mark the position
of the wear indicators.
Wheels 8.5Jx20 ET38 with 255/40 R 20 tyres
A vehicle equipped with these wheels and tyres at
the factory also has appropriate widening elements
for the use of these wheels and tyres.
A tyre is to be regarded as worn out when this wear
indicator is flush with the tread.
If you would like to have these wheels and tyres fit-
ted later, ask a ŠKODA partner about the possible
retrofitting of the vehicle with the widening ele-
ments for the use of these wheels and tyres.
The tread depth can be measured with a tread
depth gauge on the ice scraper. The ice scraper is lo-
cated on the inside of the fuel filler flap.

Conditions of use
WARNING
Risk of accident!
Do not use worn tires.
If all-season or winter tires are used that have a low-
er speed category than the actual maximum speed
of the vehicle, then proceed as follows.
Tire manufacturing date
The date of manufacture is indicated on the tyre
sidewall.
Set the speed limit in the Infotainment according
to the category of the fitted tires.
For example, DOT ... 10 19 means that the tire was
manufactured in the 10th week of 2019.
In the driver's field of view, affix a warning label
with the maximum value of the speed category in-
tended for the tyres fitted (applies only to certain
countries).
WARNING
Risk of accident!
Do not use tires that are older than 6 years.

Snow chains
Usage
illuminates
Stop the vehicle.
Check the tires and tire pressures.
The snow chains improve driving in wintry road con-
ditions.

In the following menu, select the menu item for dis-
playing the tyre condition.
WARNING
Risk of accident as well as tyre damage!
Do not use chains on routes that are free from
snow and ice.
Or:
What you should be mindful of
Before fitting the snow chains, remove the full
wheel trims.
Only mount the snow chains on the front wheels.
All-season or winter tires
Usage
All-season or winter tyres improve handling in winter
weather conditions. They are characterised by ‘M+S’
Technical specifications
and a mountaintop and snowflake symbol
.
Permitted rim / tire combinations for the installation
of the snow chains.
What you should be mindful of
Rim size
Wheel size
215/65 R17
6.5Jx17 ET38
For the best possible handling, use tyres on all four
wheels with a minimum tread depth of 4 mm.
Only use snow chains with links and locks no larger
than 13 mm.
Change winter tyres to summer tyres at the appro-
priate time. Summer tyres have better driving and
braking characteristics on snow- and ice-free roads
and at temperatures above 7 °C.
SEAL tyres
Usage
The SEAL tyres have increased resistance to air leak-
age when punctured.
