Distance Alert limitations13
: Reduces the set speed
Cruise control
Cruise Control (CC14) can help the driver
maintain an even speed to provide a more
relaxing driving experience on highways and
long, straight roads with even traffic flows.
Distance Alert functionality may be reduced
in certain situations. The function is only
available in vehicles that can display informa-
tion on the windshield with a head-up dis-
play*.

WARNING
Detection ability may be affected by
vehicle size, e.g. motorcycles, which
can cause the warning light to come on
at a shorter time interval than that set
or cause the warning to be temporarily
absent.
In vehicles equipped with Adaptive Cruise
Control*(ACC15), it is possible to switch
between Cruise Control and Adaptive
Cruise Control.
Very high speeds can cause the light to
come on at a shorter time interval than
that set due to limitations in the range
of the radar unit.

Cruise control (CC18) can be deactivated and

Standby mode means that the function is

regulate speed.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC20) helps the
driver maintain a constant speed with a set

detects a slower-moving vehicle ahead, your

Adaptive Cruise Control always attempts to
regulate speed smoothly. The driver must
apply the brakes in situations requiring imme-
diate braking. For example, when there are
great differences in speed between vehicles or
if the vehicle ahead brakes suddenly. Due to
limitations in the radar sensor, braking may
occur unexpectedly or not at all.
If the Curve Speed Assist (CSA)* function is
activated, it may also affect the vehicle's
speed.

Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to follow
a vehicle ahead in the same lane and maintain
a time interval to that vehicle set by the driver.

by the driver. This will also happen if the speed
of the vehicle ahead exceeds the set speed for

WARNING
limitations
This is not a collision avoidance sys-
tem. The driver is always responsible
and must intervene if the system fails
to detect a vehicle ahead.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC31) may have
limited functionality in certain situations.
Steep roads and/or heavy loads
The function does not brake for people
or animals and does not brake for small
vehicles, such as bikes and motorcy-
cles. Similarly, it does not brake for low
trailers, oncoming, slow-moving or sta-
tionary vehicles and objects.
Adaptive Cruise Control is primarily intended
to be driven on flat roads. The function may
not be able to maintain the correct time inter-
val to the vehicle ahead when driving down
steep hills. The driver should be extra attentive
and prepared to apply the brakes.
Do not use the function in demanding
situations, such as in city traffic, at
intersections, on slippery surfaces,
with a lot of water or slush on the road,
in heavy rain/snow, in poor visibility, on
winding roads, or on on/off ramps.
Do not use Adaptive Cruise Control if the vehi-
cle is carrying a heavy load or towing a trailer.
Other limitations
The Off Road drive mode cannot be selected
if Adaptive Cruise Control is activated.
The function uses the vehicle's camera and
radar sensor, which has certain general
limitations.
