The minimum required fuel grade for your engine is
shown on a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler flap
→ fig. 150. Using gasoline that does not meet mini-
mum octane requirements can cause loss of engine
performance, while the use of poor quality gasoline
or octane levels below 87 can also cause engine
damage. If Regular gasoline is recommended for
your engine, you may be able to enhance engine
performance by using Premium gasoline.
